Rosacea is a chronic condition affecting the skin of the face, mostly where people flush. It usually begins with redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead and if left untreated can slowly worsen to include other symptoms. Like sunlight, emotional stress can also serve as a trigger for rosacea. However, in most people rosacea is cyclic. Rosacea signs and symptoms may flare up for a period of weeks to months, and then diminish before flaring up again.
