The main ingredients of Schüssler Micellar Water
The essential Schuessler’s tissue salts
Our Micellar Cleansing Water contains the Schuessler’s tissue salt Natrium chloratum that is responsible for regulating the fluid balance of the skin thus treating dehydration on the tissue level.
Organic hamamelis water
Witch-hazel, also known as Hamamelis virginiana is native to eastern North-America and Canada. It boasts a plethora of precious ingredients, such as tannin, flavonoids, phenols and essential oils in high concentration thus making it an effective anti-inflammatory, styptic and antibacterial ingredient. Its regular use is advisable for treating vasodilation as it strengthens the artery wall and increases circulation even in the smallest microvessels.
Acne, inflamed pimples and discoloured patches can respond spectacularly well to the treatment with this precious substance. Witch-hazel gently nurtures and softens dry skin and can successfully fight free radicals that are responsible for cell and tissue aging.
What is micellar water?
The term, micelle means tiny molecules, which attract fat-soluble substances like a magnet, close them in thus removing grease, make-up residue and dirt. Micelles are sets of molecules, which are used in cleansing products. Micelles are formed in aqueous solutions by the fatsoluble portions of the molecules, which repel water, and join together to form a spherical shape. When applied, contacting the skin, the spheres open then close while attracting impurities on the skin surface. Latest researches have revealed that the ingredients in micelles interact with the skin to encourage the uptake of active ingredients.
Micellar water is not identical with a toner!
Although micellar water is often confused with cleansing toner, their roles are totally different. Toners are usually used after removing make-up on oily skin. As they tend to contain alcohol, they often have a drying effect. Micellar water, on the other hand, is ideal for all skin types, does not dry skin and has a substantial fan club primarily due to its outstanding make-up removing capacity. Micellar cleansers are extremely efficient in removing make-up and other greasy residue. They contain only non-foaming surfactants, which make the use of water unnecessary. Consequently, using our Schüssler Micellar Cleansing Water equals to a time-efficient skin care regimen.
Our Schüssler Micellar Cleansing Water is recommended for:
