Witch-hazel, also known as Hamamelis virginiana is native to eastern North-America and Canada. It boasts a plethora of precious ingredients, such as tannin, flavonoids, phenols and essential oils in high concentration thus making it an effective styptic ingredient. Its regular use is advisable for treating vasodilation as it strengthens the artery wall and increases circulation even in the smallest microvessels.
